A Muslim man was killed and dozens of outlets and mosques have been destroyed in communal violence in obvious retaliation for the Easter Sunday bombings that killed greater than 250 individuals, a Sri Lankan cupboard minister has stated.
Rauff Hakeem, a Cupboard minister and chief of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, stated the person was hacked to dying on Monday in northwestern Sri Lanka when majority ethnic Sinhalese mobs attacked Muslim-owned outlets and houses.
A police curfew was imposed within the area.
Communal violence has additionally been reported in western Sri Lanka.
Muslims have been subjected to hate feedback in social media because the April 21 suicide assaults on three church buildings and three lodges.
The Islamic State group claimed duty for the assaults, which have been carried out by radicalised native Muslims.
